I have a confession to make. I didn’t know this blog was still live until a few days ago when a friend asked me why I had not updated it in so long. That should tell you how busy I’ve been this year! I had completely forgotten that I automatically renewed my domain registration for it via GoDaddy, even though I had planned on letting it expire as my newish career in Internet Marketing / SEO has taken up the time I used to spend traipsing around Denver and the rest of the state.

However, I was really excited to learn this blog was still here, because I have been meaning to start a blog about Internet Marketing. And since my universal handle on social media and industry-specific sites is “Denverish,” this blog is perfect for what I want to accomplish. Which brings me (finally) to the point of this blog post: Denverish.com is getting a makeover. It will no longer be just a “place blog” about living in Colorado — although I will still write about that from time to time — but will primarily be a place where I blog about my adventures in social media, the blogosphere, search engine optimization, search engines, PPC, etc. It is my hope that this blog will become a place for me to teach others about Internet Marketing based on my own experiences working in this exciting and ever-changing field.

6 inches ... in April?!Anyone who has spoken with me since moving to Denver has heard me repeat in a sing-song voice, similar to a small child’s toy, the kind that people buy for other people’s kids and not their own, “I love the snow, I love the snow!” On and on (and on) I’ve gushed about the white powdery stuff and how marvelous it is that Denver is blessed with the stuff. Everyone morning that I woke up and found the city blanketed in snow, I was in awe of the stuff, like I’d never seen it or something, like I’d never been on umpteen or so ski trips with the Correll fam.

A few days ago, though, my internal record player did not get stuck on the “I Love the Snow!!” tune when I woke up to an April SNOW shower, oh no. In fact, I think the record player died, or maybe it just needed some new batteries. Do record players have batteries? Hm, don’t think so. Anyhow, I was not suddenly manifested into a morning person by sight of the white cloud that covered my car that morning, which is what usually happens when it snows (even before my coffee.)

Instead, my conversation with the snow went something like this:

About the Author

authorChristy Correll founded Denverish shortly after ridding herself of most of her possessions, quitting her job, & moving halfway across the country to live in the capital city of Colorado. Texan by birth, Christy is no stranger to the Wild West. However, Colorado has a very strong sense of place that distinguishes it from other Western states. Join Christy and her sheltie, Scout, in exploring their new home. Along the way you will encounter many wonderful things — and a few peculiarities — that cannot be found anywhere else on earth.
